InnOPlan
Innovative, Data-driven Efficiency of Surgery-related Process Landscapes
The operation room is the heart of the hospital. It’s smooth operation is fundamental. Creating a network with all relevant upstream and downstream clinical, patient-related and administrative processes has highest priority. These processes only run smoothly in very rare cases. The project InnOPlan aims to enhance medical equipment in such a way that it not only fulfils its technical function but also creates a data intelligence so that clinical processes can be connected even more and designed more efficiently.
InnOPlan wants to develop medical devices into smart data providers. To process the generated and mostly unstructured data, InnOPlan is creating methods and tools that will link the data with clinical processes inside and outside the operating room in an additional step. In this way for example, clinical and logistical workflows, surgical planning and the availability of equipment can be optimised and process costs can be lowered in hospitals. Finally, legally compliant business models are being drawn up with special attention to data safety by which medical technology providers and data processing service providers can offer corresponding smart service platforms for medical users.
