Open 5G private networks present solutions on “Tage der digitalen Technologien“

How can companies implement their vertical applications via private 5G radio networks? The CampusOS project will provide answers at its closing event in the course of the “Tage der digitalen Technologien” conference. On October 7, the lead and satellite projects will present solution modules for various industries.

The project "cosmos" of CampusOS and its satellites will be presenting its solution components and other key results for open 5G private networks at the “Tage der digitalen Technologien” conference. This wireless transmission technology opens up pioneering opportunities for companies to implement their applications in a tailor-made manner. The networks enable high performance, the design of operating models according to specific requirements and the preservation of data sovereignty. The aim of the projects funded by the BMWK since 2022 is also to establish an ecosystem for modular and open 5G private networks and to open up application domains beyond the upcoming end of the funding. This ecosystem follows the principle of OpenRAN with open radio technologies and interoperable network components.

Industry-specific blueprints for Germany's digital sovereignty

The two-hour specialist event on the afternoon of October 7th is all about the use of the reference architectures and technologies developed by partners from industry and research. The interoperability and performance of the solutions were tested in reference test fields and supplemented with operator models. This resulted in prototype blueprints for different industries, such as Industry 4.0, logistics or medical and emergency technology. The project results are intended to ensure manufacturer independence, more competition and innovation, also in order to strengthen the digital sovereignty of companies in Germany.
