AutoQML presents itself at the Developer Conference in Ehningen
On October 20 and 21, more than 70 quantum computing developers from the Competence Center Quantum Computing Baden-Württemberg gathered in Ehningen at the invitation of the Fraunhofer Institutes IAO and IAF to exchange ideas at the first Developer Conference. Prominent among them was the AutoQML project, which had the opportunity to present itself in a keynote speech.
The AutoQML project aims to simplify automated machine learning (AutoML) processes with the help of quantum computers. Quantum machine learning methods will be integrated into the existing machine learning pools of the AutoML framework and quantum solutions for the automated selection of ML algorithms will be developed. This should provide conventional developers with easier access to both classical and quantum ML algorithms.
In addition to the presentation of the project, the Developer Conference in Ehningen offered the opportunity to exchange ideas on the latest developments in quantum hardware and software, quantum machine learning, quantum simulation and chemistry, and quantum-based algorithms. Other highlights were the talk on Post Quantum Cryptography by Dr. René Schwonnek from Leibniz Universität Hannover and the workshop by the Israeli quantum software start-up Classiq Technologies. Further information about the conference can be found on the Fraunhofer IAO webpages.
